We Buy Used Books(and CDs & DVDs!) Books (and CDs & DVDs) are generally accepted for trade or sale at any time; however, we recommend that you call before coming, as we must occasionally put a hold on book buying due to overwhelming volume. Calling ahead is especially encouraged for sellers of large collections. The book buyer is usually at the store on weekday afternoons, but if he is unavailable, you may leave your books at the front counter in bags or boxes marked with the date, your name, and your phone number (or an address we can mail a check to). Any books that are left at our store but are not accepted with your trade (i.e., we can't use them) will be donated to our local book bank, New Haven Reads. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOOKS IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN THAT YOU WANT TO SELL THEM. If you would like books that we can't use to be returned to you, please call ahead to see if the buyer will be available to look at your collection when you bring it in. |
